A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Systems Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining systems, infrastructure, and services. In this job you will:
  • Define, analyze, and translate customer needs and constraints into technical requirements and solutions for the Enterprise.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Custom, Open Source, Commercial-off-the-Shelf, and Government-off-the-Shelf enterprise applications.
  • Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate services, tools, architectures, and technologies to support and optimize enterprise systems.
  • Implement, support, and maintain DevSecOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Integrate security processes, tools, techniques, and methodologies into CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure application development and deployment.
  • Incorporate vulnerability detection and remediation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with multiple teams of Developers, Engineers, and Administrators to optimize systems, resolve performance issues, address software defects, improve design, support application enhancements, and integrate security controls throughout all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and all related processes (i.e. Assessment & Authorizations, Change Requests, Disaster Recovery (DR) / Continuity of Operations (COOP), etc.).
  • Install, configure, secure, and manage *NIX and Windows-based Virtual Machines.
  • Install and secure IT system software, troubleshoot, maintain and configure network components, implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Implement, support, and maintain security monitoring tools throughout the environment and work with Incident Response teams to remediate threats in real time.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support for a cross functional team through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, code scans, and penetration testing to identify security vulnerabilities; prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize resource performance, utilization, and costs.
  • Evaluate systems and infrastructure and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement
  • Test and ensure the effectiveness of business continuity measures.
  • Create and maintain documentation for supported systems and infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant Computing Environment (CE) Certification Required (i.e. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RedHat Certified System Administrator, etc.).
  • DoD 8570/8140 IATII or better Certification Required. (i.e. Security+ CE, SSCP, CND, GSEC, GICSP, CCNA-Security, etc.).
  • 7+ years' experience as a Systems Engineer supporting DevOps / DevSecOps for Enterprise Information Systems.
  • 7+ years' DoD System Administration and Engineering experience, preferably for a mixed environment of both Windows and Linux-based systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency providing Systems Engineering and Administration support within a Government environment (i.e. on prem, GovCloud, Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability (JWCC), etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting software CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with: Terraform, Ansible, JIRA/Confluence, GitLab, Artifactory, jFrog, SonarQube, Burp, XRAY, etc.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for staying updated on industry trends and best practices in software development and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Understanding of DoD policies, directives, and initiatives as they relate to custom application development (i.e. DoD Risk Management Framework (DoDRMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Section 508 Compliance, etc.).
  • Strong coordination, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Salary Range:
  • The salary range of this position is $160,000 - $180,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
