Qualifications



The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for administering compensation programs, including base salary, incentive plans, and other reward plans that drive the attraction and retention of critical talent while reflecting market conditions, internal equity, a strong pay for performance philosophy, and the company’s strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct job evaluations, analyze market pricing, and recommend salary ranges based on market data. 
  • Provides guidance and support to leaders in the daily administration of compensation programs and practices. Identifies knowledge gaps and develops targeted training materials to enhance understanding of compensation policies. Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to review offers, promotions, and internal movement for competitive and equitable pay.
  • Lead the annual compensation planning process for merit and salary adjustment cycles.
  • Participates in annual compensation surveys, as well as other total rewards benchmark surveys. Analyzes and evaluates survey results and prepares a summary of data findings to support the annual compensation review process, including recommendations and decision-making efforts. 
  • Oversees the governance and ongoing maintenance of the company’s job architecture. Develops, implements, and maintains standardized job descriptions to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational structure. Ensures job and compensation data is accurately updated and maintained within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system. 
  • Supports the implementation of compensation systems by collaborating with external vendors and cross-functional teams. Develop training resources and communication strategies to support change management efforts and ensure successful system adoption across the organization. 
  • Analyzes and audits compensation programs and practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and established company guidelines. Identifies areas of opportunity, evaluates the impact and potential solutions, and shares recommendations with leadership. 
  • Maintain and update salary structures, job classifications, and compensation guidelines.  

 

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience administering compensation programs and practices. 
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.  
  • A data-driven mindset requires a strong understanding of data reporting and analytics to analyze and evaluate data and identify patterns and trends, as well as formulate recommendations for senior leadership. Also requires experience with job architecture and career progression design. 
  • Requires strong attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently following general direction and oversight from leadership. Also requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.  
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must possess the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
