Under the direction of the Mortgage Servicing Manager, the Mortgage Closer monitors scheduled loan closings, the preparation of documentation for closing, and the funding of the loan.
Position Description
The Mortgage Closer works in a team environment to perform full-cycle mortgage closing tasks for all mortgage products. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Monitoring;
- closing calendar and following up with all parties to ensure closing date is met.
- receipt of executed closing package.
- Preparing
- and delivering closing disclosures to members, and monitoring for receipt within the required regulatory timelines.
- and delivering closing packages to members, closing attorneys, and agents.
- funding notices.
- Reviewing insurance binders for compliance with credit union requirements.
- Performing pre-funding credit reviews, and verifications of employment.
- Recording mortgages for all home equity closings.
- Scanning loan documents, and adhering to the Credit Union's record retention policies.
- Responding to auditors' requests.
May be asked to assist mortgage servicing department, and/or other mortgage lending teams.
Basic QualificationsBasic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.- College degree, or three+ years' experience in mortgage banking operations.
