Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Associate to join the Research Farms division. The Research Farms provide a dynamic environment for teaching, research, and extension opportunities, serving faculty, staff, and students across the college. This Administrative Associate role is a vital part of the team, supporting essential administrative operations to ensure the smooth management of key processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Payroll & Leave Administration: Manage payroll processing and leave tracking for employees.
• Position Management & Hiring Coordination: Oversee recruitment processes, assist with hiring procedures, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Administrative Support: Coordinating Employee Uniform process, assist in the yearly inventory processes
• Financial & Procurement Support:
• Serve as the primary delegate for entering departmental ProCard transactions.
• Prepare and process cash/check transmittals.
• Track commodity inventory and sales.
• Assist in reconciliation.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable, purchasing, and inventory functions.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience in administrative support, HR functions, or financial processing preferred.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail..
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn financial/HR management systems.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
