Job Summary
The College of Education at the University of Kentucky is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented College Business Officer to lead and manage the financial, grant, procurement, and operational functions of an academic department. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of the department through accurate budget management, post-award grant oversight, reconciliation, and financial reporting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative professional with a solid understanding of university accounting policies, strong communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

The College Business Officer will work closely with faculty, staff, and university partners to ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor policies, oversee payroll processes, support procurement transactions, and advise on business operations. This role serves as the department liaison to Collaborative Grant Services and provides direct support to the department chair and leadership team through financial forecasting, ad-hoc reporting, and strategic planning support.
