Role Context

Deliver on all R2R activities in relation to treasury, fixed assets management,cash AR reconciliation,and taxes, in accordance with Accounting principles and Corporate policies/Global Operating Model. To build and maintain relationships with the respective stakeholders and finance management and supervisor.

Key responsibilities

  • Treasury and Bank

    Address bank related and treasury related queries.

    Monitor bank balance on a daily basis to ensure sufficient funds are available for payments. Regularly confirm bank access and signatories, and highlight any anomalies found to the CFO. Prepare daily clearing on bank transitory accounts.

    Review and provide assistance to SSC on bank reconciliations.

    Provide daily bank statements to OTC team, to enable accurate allocation of receipted funds. Perform investigations on aged items on bank reconciliation and provide solution.

    Perform a monthly review of bank charges and interest to ensure accurate charges are being charged to the business.

    Cash AR account Management

    Perform full cash applications (CAA) responsibilities. Act as contact person for all CAA and Ingenico portals.

    Monitor CAA dashboard on a daily basis, and ensure aged open items are promptly addressed. Prepare and upload daily IRO cash collections.

    Ensure correct billing of cash accounts invoices and allocation of funds.

    Review daily cash discrepancy report and perform root cause analysis, thereafter, present the findings to the management. Maintain a professional cross function liaison and execute accurate billing adjustments.

    Perform cash accounts reconciliation and clearing of transactions on daily basis.

    Address all cash accounts receivable queries promptly and accurately as well as log all queries relating to cash accounts. Follow up on old items and clear the Cash AR accounts to ensure only less than 30 days items.

    Following up on outstanding queries and reconciling items on the cash accounts account. Prepare Adjustment / Wrtie off / Write back journals and avail approval as per DOAG Duty, RPA account Management

    To ensure customer queries are attended promptly in line with set standards with dedicated attention on inbound calls and emails. To act as contact for all Duty / RPA billing related queries.

    Prepare weekly Duty & RPA outstanding report to be shared with stakeholders, for them to follow up on outstanding payments Perform Cash Duty & RPA reconciliation and clear matching transactions.

    Respond to queries raise by SSC and ensure these are addressed in a timely manner Confirming proof of payments for COD accounts.

    Prepare Adjustment / Write off / Write back journals and avail approval as per DOAG

    Duty Payable Account Management

    Respond and support to solve duty billing related queries raised by MUSSC duty teams. Raise request for allocation / write off / write back.

    Refunds

    Ensure all customer refunds received from CS are processed in a timely manner and forwarded to PTP to process the payment to customer Manage and process Duty / RPA Refunds.

    Liaise with customers for refunds on over payments or duplicate payments.

    General Ledger Accounting

    Support MUSSC to clear aged items on Balance Sheet. Ensure correct GL allocations for all entries made.

    Support with Month end task includes:

    Prepare accrual journals during month end.

    Drive implementation of systems/tools to automate and improve resource utilization, efficiency, controls and compliance. Continuously improve financial processes while reducing risk to the business – driving continuous improvement.

    Fixed assets

    Maintain accurate fixed asset register on monthly basis. Perform accurate capitalisation of assets on monthly basis.

    Ensure all capitalised assets are in accordance in line with SSA Fixed Assets Policy and in alignment to IFRS. Follow up and ensure assets under construction account are immediately capitalised on completion.

    Perform fixed asset Management (FAM) entries on request.

    Ensure each asset is tagged and accounted for in the fixed asset register. Assist management in performing impairment valuations.

    Assist stakeholders in correct and proper disposal process, in line with the latest policy. Perform accurate asset classification by assets types.

    Ensure applied depreciation codes are aligned to internal policies and standards.

    Drive and perform periodic physical asset count, and ensure reconcile to ERP FAR.

    Purchase to Pay

    Long outstanding (older than 3 months) Purchase Orders are investigated and resolved timeously.

    Ensure that supplier information on the Vendor Master Data in SAP, GET, Basware and the Vendor Matrix is maintained and timeously updated for any changes through the Bizagi system. Ensure monthly petty cash reimbursements, reconciliations and documentation is complete, authorized in line with Petty Cash Policies and Procedures and correctly processed in the system. Provide supporting evidence for CRISP controls and ensure controls are performed adequately.

    Provide support during the external audit process.

    Audit and Compliance

    Provide supporting evidence for CRISP controls and ensure controls are performed adequately for specific areas. Provide support during the external audit process.

    Analyse process delays / performance failures, identify root causes, define & monitor corrective actions.

    Identify areas of risk and issues. Escalate to appropriate channel when necessary to avoid delays and ensure issues are resolved. Ensure timely responses to internal and external customers.

    Statutory submissions

    Ensure all statutory compliance matters are completed on time Income Tax Returns to be filed/uploaded on time

    VAT Returns to be filed/uploaded on time

    Operational and record keeping

    Perform activities in line with country's good governance, compliance, DPDHL Global SOP’s/local specific policies. Ensure all approvals are obtained as per DOAG and stored in the shared drive.

    Business Improvement

    Identify process delays / performance failures, identify root causes and work with supervisor to define corrective actions. Monitor implementation from start to end to ensure resolution. Provide support with implementation of systems/tools to automate and improve resource utilization, efficiency, controls and compliance.

    Adhoc support

    Carry out Adhoc duties as required to support supervisor.


Minimum Requirements

Education & experience

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience / qualification
  • Computer skills, Advance Knowledge of MS Office, mainly MS Excel
  • Accounts Reconciliation, IFRS Knowledge (preferred)
  • Expected years of Experience (more than 2 years
  • Language required : English / French
