Description

Leidos is currently hiring in the Alexandria, VA, area. This position is part of a multifaceted Logistical Support Team. The position will be responsible for conducting budget and financial analyses, overseeing material procurement, facilitating production planning, managing inventory control, executing system fault analyses, and implementing life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) for major systems and transportation. Responsibilities may include the examination and research of budgetary and financial information, as well as the coordination and integration of material and information flows among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers. This position occasionally supports a rapid response small team that fields equipment at various sites and performs equipment setup, sample collection, initial processing, packaging, and preparation for lab testing of environmental media at various locations across the United States.

Location: Work will be performed approximately 70% in Alexandria, VA, and 30% in the Washington, DC, metro area.

Other duties of this job may include but are not limited to:

  • Material handling and transporting goods and materials within the DC metro area.
  • Controlling the flow of goods, services, and information between the point of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements and ensure the execution and improvement of standard logistic processes.
  • Perform product research and procurement sourcing activities.
  • Negotiate with vendors to determine best value, justify strategic selection of goods, and administer vendor accounts, including invoicing, billing, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure all procurement, inventory, and additional equipment and information are added, tracked, and reported in line with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Leidos Policy, and standard operating procedures.
  • Using database systems, including Microsoft Excel, to track, order, inventory, and receive goods, equipment, and materials.

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must currently hold a Secret clearance.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in a Logistics environment: Inventory, shipping, receiving, or administration. A high school diploma with an additional four years of experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Analysis and research pertaining to budget and product expenditures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Knowledge of property management, warehouse distribution, inventory management and/or material handling.
  • Be capable of working with workflow, service, procurement, and inventory software systems.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 35 Pounds and move 140 pounds (roll compressed gas cylinders).
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain qualification as a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driver| Non-CDL. 
  • Must have excellent customer service, teaming, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Flexible, can learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adjust to changing situations and procedures.

Desired Skills

  • Forklift Experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Oracle, and/or Costpoint.
  • Experience driving a CMV |Straight truck with GVWR below 26,001 lbs. |non-CDL position
  • Experience reviewing technical CAD drawings and documents.
  • Producing customer after-action reports

Pay Range:

Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
