In this job you will

As a WHS Advisor at DHL, you'll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure our warehouse operations run smoothly. In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be able to continually grow professionally. • Ensure all operations have a thorough understanding and training of WHS policies and procedures and can adhere to current WHS legislative requirements
• Assist in internal site specific Safety audits
• Ensure all operational specific Work Health & Safety related documentation are reviewed & current
• Facilitate safety risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting and recording of incidents
• Continuous review and improvement of WHS systems and updating of policies and procedures
• Facilitation of a safety first culture within the organisation

You have the following qualities & qualifications

• Demonstrated experience within a WHS Advisor position, ideally in 3PL or a logistics environment
• Experience in risk assessment and implementation of controls
• Working knowledge of industry specific WH&S legislation, standards & applicable Codes of Practices
• External auditing qualifications are preferred but not essential
• Tertiary qualification in a related field is essential (Cert IV in Work Health, Safety at a minimum)
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills
• Ability to motivate the team and facilitate a culture of safety
