We currently have an opportunity for a Control Tower Agent. In this role, you willwork directly with DHL customers and staff to ensure that their shipment is properly reported to US Customs and Border Protection for movement via 7512 and Export. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met for creating and closing of 7512. Support DHL customers with excellent service and quick responses. Lead with regulatory assistance and procedure development, assist with auditing export filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews import / export cargo shipment information and processes In Bond Shipments for movement from the northern and southern borders for acceptance into the DHL network, as well as ensuring Export Compliance is met
  • Coordinates In Bond movements for customers from FTZ and Bonded warehouse facilities, as well as shipments exporting the US
  • Monitors bond level and ensures all in bonds are closed per regulatory requirements. Monitor agent performance and accuracy
  • Work directly with Supervisor in developing procedures and customer SOP’s

Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership skill directly supporting Agent and process development
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Specialized skill training/certification may be required
  • Generally 1-3 years of experience in area of responsibility
