Overview

As a Security Technician at Velociti Services, you will ensure all electronic access equipment remains in good working order 24/7 365 days at a highly secured Government site. . This would include door access card reader systems, automated gates for vehicle access base wide. Maintain all CCTV cameras base wide and all Security consoles. Ensure all intercom paging systems are in working order. There is a Preventive Maintenance program in place and weekly/monthly PMs are performed to ensure these systems are working at 100%.

This position will encompass overtime from time to time for emergency calls outside of normal hours when any of the above systems described is not working and must be addressed as a priority.



Responsibilities

Each security control specialist must be certified in the Pegasys ? 2000 Access Control System and be trained in Identiv uTrust systems within 90 days of contract award.

Each security control specialist must be familiar with the theory of operation, practical repair, programming, and maintenance of all systems as listed in Attachment II, Section 11. Each security control specialist must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics, perform calibration, maintenance, and repair, down to the electronic component level, on all electronic systems.

  • Electronics Technician(s): Each electronics technician must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance and repair of complex control systems. Each electronics technician must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics, perform calibration, maintenance, and repair, down to the electronic component level, on all electronic systems.

Scope

This Section of the Contract details work requirements specific to electronics and automated security (EAS) systems. All EAS work must be performed in accordance with the requirements of this Section and Attachment I Section 3.

The following represents the EAS systems and equipment to be serviced under this Contract including, but not limited to:

  • Automatic door openers
  • Automatic electric gate operators and ground loops
  • Central controller and related hardware
  • Monitors
  • Security systems
  • Fiber-optic cabling
  • Fiber-optic transceivers and mode converters
  • Fire recall system
  • Intercom systems
  • Magnetic door locks
  • Modems
  • Power converters
  • Power supplies
  • Public address system
  • Relays, switches, and transformers, etc.
  • Security card readers (see below for specific systems)
  • Security system wiring
  • Video cameras and related hardware (see below for specific systems)

The Technical Center currently utilizes the Pegasys 2000 Access Control System as well as the Identiv uTrust Velocity Security Management System (TSA buildings only). Most of the Tech Center’s video camera (CCTV) system and equipment is manufactured by American DynamicsE:



Qualifications

Applicants must have a valid NJ License

Able to respond to outside normal hours security access issues on card readers, gates & camera systems.

Must be able to pass government background investigation.

Must be able to pass Drug Test prior to hire.

Must have good computer skills.

Must be able to work utilizing man lift equipment for ariel work.
