Overview

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 5am - 2pm

An Electrician at Velociti Services will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint. To perform in this position, you need an electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints
• Perform general electrical maintenance
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
• Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance
• Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
• Good knowledge of various test equipment
• Other duties as assigned or requested

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Must have a valid State of New Jersey Electrical License or Journeyman Certificate.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation for FAA/WJHTC Badge.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• High school diploma
• Valid driver's license
• Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge
• Experience in renewable energy field
• Good team player
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
• The ability to make critical decisions under pressure

Physical Requirements:

Applicants for this role must be able to:

• Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
• Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
• Standing for extended periods of time
