We're hiring a Director of Commercial Operations to join our Operations Team.

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the commercial operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop department managers, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic goals.
  • Conducts monthly one-on-one meetings with managers to review staffing, customer experience expectations, and performance goals.
  • Directs and assists managers with developing and implementing effective operational growth and efficiency strategies, with an emphasis on coordinating all activities with consistent execution.
  • Participates on various in-house committees as assigned.
  • Represents the bank in various civic and community functions to further enhance the bank’s image and to develop new business.
  • Coach teams to deliver high-quality services, achieving operational goals, optimizing resources, and embracing proven technologies for greater efficiency.

Strategic Vision:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance commercial loan origination and deposit opening processes.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, aligning operations with the bank’s long-term objectives.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, emphasizing customer satisfaction, quality management, workforce planning, and staff development to boost efficiency, service, and morale.
  • Actively contribute to company goals through strategic leadership and daily decision-making, documenting and implementing best practices aligned with organizational needs.

Department Management:

  • Oversee the Commercial loan and account opening, operations, and servicing departments. Functions include participations, boarding & funding, collateral, insurance, documentation, and account opening. Ensure seamless coordination and integrations of functions to deliver exceptional service.
  • Reviews and recommends improved operations policies and procedures and ensuring the proper implementation and maintenance of approved changes.
  • Makes recommendations for personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, staffing, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Create and maintain Commercial Operations budget process and adhere to established expense and income parameters.
  • Develop, adhere to, and monitor key performance metrics including customer satisfaction, employee productivity, turnover rates, and financial performance.
  • Resolves customer complaints and related issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive operational procedures to reinforce bank policies.
  • Oversee audit processes, address findings, and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance and risk management.
  • Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial banking operations, bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field (preferred)

Proven track record of leadership and strategic management.

In-depth knowledge of commercial loan origination, including credit and underwriting experience, deposit opening processes, and any applicable regulatory requirements.

Detailed understanding of loan and banking products and services, and financial accounting concepts.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving performance and achieving results.

Proficiency in financial software and tools, with an understanding of data analysis and reporting.

Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $76,800 to $139,400
