Location: DHL CBS office Staines - Office based


Standard Operating hours: M-F  9:00am – 5:30pm (will require some work outside these times as well as BH working for month end processing) so needs a level of flexibility

About the role:

As the Financial Assistant will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports and payments to vendors. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

  • Responsible for maintaining vendor master data and onboarding process.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond both timely and accurately to enquiries regarding invoices and payments.
  • Administration & maintenance of PtP workflow using the software Basware.
  • Check and update vendor information and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely disbursement.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable and expenses.
  • Oversee the checking and processing of employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant company policies and accounting standards.
  • Actively support of the wider Finance team with other relevant topics and processes, e.g. month-end closing or internal controls assessment.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations in relation to accounts payable
  • Implementation of process changes where necessary.
  • Be an active participant in the project team to migrate the current finance ERP to S4/HANA, focusing on accounts payable.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • More than 2 years in a comparable role
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
  • Proficient in Excel including formulas and data summarization
  • Good knowledge of SAP
