Leidos’ Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer….  We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies.  Our team works across multiple business sectors, with industry partners, and directly with the customer.  We strive to have a variety of skillsets personally and across the team to meet the needs of our customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Circuit analysis and debugging.

  • Debugging PCBA level Hardware.

  • Performing test data analysis via test and debug tools.

  • Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.

  • The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Basic Qualifications

  • The position requires an ABET accredited B.S. or equivalent degree in computer engineering, or electrical engineering with 2+ years of experience or les than 2 years with MS degree.

  • Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.

  • Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware test plans and procedures.

  • Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.

  • Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

  • Possess a secret clearance, or have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Three to five years of experience with PCBA debugging and/or development.

    • Experience with Mentor Graphics schematic capture and PCB tools.
      Experience with EMI / ESD, 461, or CE testing.

    • Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator)

    • Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages

    • Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management

    • Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
