As a part of Learfield’s Always On team and initiative, the Longhorn Network Content Specialist is an important role on the ground at University of Texas that assists in the development and production of original and branded content-driven executions for the Longhorn Network in partnership with the school. Reporting to the Supervising Producer and working closely with the on-site sales team, they will collaborate with the athletic departments, school production teams, and local staff to help ideate, create and execute a robust original and branded content offering and calendar that will increase fan engagement across school athletic handles as well as generate revenue opportunities for local Learfield sales staff

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in creation of original video and social content in partnership with school teams to drive fan engagement across Longhorn Network and social channels and generate revenue opportunities for local sales staff
  • Create and publish promotional content for Longhorn Network
  • Assist with the maintenance and strategy of all Longhorn Network social channels
  • Develop content solutions for brand partners in conjunction with local sales staff and athletic department
  • Assist with scheduling and talent for Longhorn Network Production
  • Assist creation of custom branded social media content for local property sales staff to drive traffic to Longhorn Network
  • Assist in the creation of content including but not limited to multimedia audio/video, animation, graphics, and sponsorable content
  • Along with Supervising Producer and Content Producer, act as a liaison between athletic department content team, LEARFIELD local sales teams and national sales
  • Collaborate closely with athletic department content teams to create custom branded content (in all forms) in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, Longhorn Network, and including emerging platforms
  • Assist in the development and execution of creative projects from idea generation through final deliverables, including writing, producing, shooting, and overseeing edit when necessary at University of Texas.
  • Assist Supervising Producer and Texas Longhorn Production Teams on the creative content development for all Learfield led original content opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with athletic department content teams to create original content in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, across all platforms, including emerging platforms
  • Assist in the production of LEARFIELD live-action shoots at Texas for Longhorn Network
  • Assist with the management of Longhorn Sports Properties social channels (LinkedIn)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

? Bachelor’s Degree

? Must have previous experience with shooting video

? Prefer advanced knowledge of graphic, motion design, photography, and video editing/production (including Adobe Creative Cloud)

? Minimum 1-year experience successfully working in a creative production environment

? Minimum 1-year experience in developing creative content that has driven engagement and results

? Prefer previous experience in sports industry and ideally in college athletics

? Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

? Proven ability to collaborate with other content creators and stakeholders

? Excellent communication skills with the ability to present concepts and strategies to leadership

? Ability to generate new ideas and concepts that might align with a project's initiatives

? Strong administrative, critical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

? Must be highly organized, efficient and precise in his/her work.
