This Lab Technician is based in our Wilsonville, Oregon cable site. Shift is Monday-Friday, day shift 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Summary/Objective: As the Raw Cable Lab Technician you will work within Signal Integrity Group (SIG).You are a trusted partner who others seek out for delivering high quality, useful and efficient results. You have excellent technical aptitude, communication, interpersonal, and team engagement skills. You are energetic, motivated, and service-centered. You feel comfortable discussing and explaining technical topics at various levels of understanding based on your audience.You can manage several projects simultaneously and are able to adjust to changing priorities easily.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Work in a laboratory environment to validate designs and correlate measurements
- Take measurements and run experiments using VNA, TDR and other test equipment
- Create and execute test plans
- Follow best practices and methods for high-speed electrical measurement
- Understand industry leading techniques and analyze impact for implementation
- Manage test queue per priorities set by engineering management
- Demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and the ability to use software tools
- Maintain and improve required administrative systems
- Generate reports and provide analysis for high-speed test data as needed

Required Skills and Experience
- Must have a systematic approach to defining and solving problems.
- Experience in an electrical test environment (Signal Integrity Experience is preferred)
- Familiarity with high volume cable manufacturing methods & processes is a plus
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs
- Communication skills are a must as this person will interact with engineers in different disciplines & sometimes with members of management.
Preferred Education:
- Associate degree in engineering, related field, or relevant experience.
