Position Title: Business Systems Analyst 2
Location: Omaha, NE, United States
Description:
This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the levels posted, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.
The business systems analyst provides advanced functional expertise and guidance in the design, implementation and support of Finance and Accounting technologies that service BHE Pipeline Group finance and accounting and all other divisions.
Responsibilities:
Manage the business rules that define BHE Pipeline Group's implementation of Oracle Fusion, including general ledger, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventory, expenses, and requisitions; Capital Projects Module consisting of OPC and Unifier; Power Plant Applications Suite, including the project accounting, asset accounting, and property tax modules; OTBI, FDI, SmartView reporting tools related to finance and accounting support needs; and tools which are used for budget related company financial statement consolidations, budgeting of field operations and maintenance expenses as well as capital and O&M project forecasting and labor modules.
Provide ongoing support for the above applications including detailed complicated problem solving.
Analyzes or leads the analysis of business processes to determine appropriate technology solutions, delivering or facilitating the delivery of application development and support services and formulating plans to address future requirements to ensure customer and IT alignment of direction, resources and priorities.
Lead user groups in assessing technology and enhancement alternatives and in identifying and prioritizing system enhancement and change requests.
Perform research and fact-finding to develop business process models and functional and process specifications.
Project-manage the design, development and implementation of systems and technologies supporting the defined customer set. This includes developing the scope of work, assembling appropriate resources and defining and managing the project budget, schedule and deliverables.
Perform process analysis and reengineering to design and adapt system requirements.
Develop BHE Pipeline Group specific reporting solutions using all supported applications.
Act as liaison between IT and defined customer set.
Provide both technical and functional leadership to staff.
Provide both technical and functional input to assist in development of project planning.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, accounting or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Five or more years experience in systems analysis, testing, project management or systems implementation or support.
Experience with or significant knowledge of enterprise resource planning financial, supply management, or work management applications and their reporting tools.
Experience with or significant knowledge of PowerPlan, UIPlanner, Oracle Fusion, database/data warehousing technologies; SQL, Microsoft 365, and Visio is a plus.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Extensive experience using analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Self-starter who is willing to begin assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
Support the Company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety and phishing rules.
Minimal travel required.
