General Description

We are looking for a System Administrator for the Enterprise Platforms Division to help implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of an initiative, communicating them clearly to stakeholders, and ensuring a high level of quality of the delivered product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administers, coordinates, manages, and supports the assigned application or applications to ensure the correct performance.
  • Lead in documenting the application user and/or technical documentation and maintain it up to date
  • Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
  • Design application measurement, assessment, and quality improvement programs where applicable.
  • Ensure the application is compliant with technical regulatory requirements and Popular Information Security Guidelines.
  • Work closely with programmers and developers to develop solutions and build new systems and IT frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues
  • Lead incident investigations for assigned applications, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Assist the programming and TechOps department in the prompt resolution of incidents as well as ensuring that root cause and mitigation plans are followed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, best practices, and business processes related to the application being administered.
  • Finds innovative ways to improve an existing process to make it more efficient or more effective.
  • Translate client requirements into detailed BRD (Business Requirements Document). Writes user stories that are clear, concise and easy-to-understand and implemented by the development team. Groups stories into themes and epics as necessary.
  • Plan and execute changes tests and certification to ensure that programming modifications comply with business requirements and are correct.
  • Integrates the needs of several different stakeholders to produce an overall solution.
  • Defines acceptance criteria and creates test cases for certification and user acceptance. Participates in Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.
  • Gather data to help determine prioritization of work items.
  • Conduct and analyze primary research on users, competitors, etc.
  • Run and provide reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring releases and maintenance are implemented successfully. May require off-hour and weekend on-call support periodically.
  • Performs recurring application processes according to their corresponding dates established within the calendar.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with SLA's. Engages appropriate IT/business users to resolve technical issues and support business processes.
  • Partners to diagnose and resolve complex software issues. Ensures that accurate and effective solutions are provided to end users. Can train users on the system.
  • Ensures end user support needs are met with a high quality of service.
  • Ensures application processes are well documented, revised and updated.
  • Maintain request ticket status updated. Add comments to support the ticket status and document priorities established by Business.
  • Manage, analyze, and configure system parameters, as well as monitoring and/or execution of system runs as required.
  • Ensure that budgets are adhered to, and deadlines are met
  • Monitor Vendor's correct invoice as per services provided/requested and establish invoice claims were applicable
  • Other duties as needed or required as part of the IT Policy and Procedures.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience working with applications.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook)
  • Experience with report design consolidation, report optimization and process management
  • Experience analyzing and documenting different system flows, process flows and workflows
  • Extremely strong analytical and communication skills
