Overview

VersaTran, the truck division Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is building our team to support business growth. 

VersaTran manufactures the patented Retriever line of equipment transport truck beds. (www.versatran.com) The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for working directly with customers to identify and develop long term strategic relationships that will benefit the end user and grow the business.  They will work closely with internal resources which support production, product development, and marketing strategies. 

 

Responsible for developing the various market segments for VersaTran products with construction as the initial target. Promotes products and services to potential and existing customers.



Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and growing the market for VersaTran.
  • Focus on acquiring new clients and growing existing accounts.
  • Conduct sales meetings and make presentations.
  • Provide input into advertising campaigns, literature and digital/web advertising.
  • Generate and describe creative, results-focused marketing concepts to diversify the product line.
  • Handle incoming inquiries and leads.
  • Provide customer site demos and solicitation of business.
  • Assess client's needs and define proposal accordingly.
  • Review customer chassis specs to ensure compatibility with product.
  • Develop sales strategies in tandem with marketing campaign.
  • Meet with clients to ascertain needs and scope of potential business.
  • Deliver customer training of product.
  • Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts.
  • Generate reports that analyze competition and customers.
  • Offer insights about product potentials.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications



  • 3+ years of interface with mid-heavy equipment markets. Truck experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an outside sales role or similar position
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office applications (including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) Internet/Intranet and CRM skills
  • Experience interacting with software/agency partners and customers
  • Current CDL license a plus, (or willingness to obtain is required). 
  • This position will include both time in the office along with travel.
