What we’re looking for in a Building Automation HVAC Controls Technician:

You’re a hands-on, driven problem-solver with a strong dedication not just to a job well done, but also a job done with safety top of mind. You’re an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and are proficient in numerous software applications for troubleshooting and creating project graphics.

  • 5+ years of experience working with Building Automation Systems
    • Niagara 4 certification preferred
    • Distech Control Platform experience preferred
  • 5+ years of proficient understanding of mechanical systems: what they do and how they operate.
  • 5+ years of proven experience building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot building automation systems that control and monitor various building systems like HVAC, lighting, and security
  • Proficient in programming. Ability to update software for BAS systems to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with BAS systems, often involving a variety of building systems

Here’s an overview of the kind of work you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining systems controlling building environments.
  • Set up and verify automated controls for HVAC, lighting and other building systems.
  • Use specialized software to track energy use, temperature level and to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Monitor building systems performance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Create graphics for user interfaces including system diagrams, floor plans of system components and visual representations of system performance data.
  • Coach and mentor team members.

Pay Range: $69,345 - $104,018 annually

The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
