Overview
Employee works with all age groups and duties are in support of Service Excellence and include the following:
Patient Ophthalmic Imaging including Fundus photography, Fluorescein angiography, ICG angiography, OCT-A, OCT, anterior segment OCT, slit lamp photography, gonio photography, clinical trials imaging and certifications. Informs patients on procedure processes and proper positioning. Performs miscellaneous patient photography and additional duties assigned by manager, external photography, photography in the operating room- EUA’s- performing Bioptigen OCT’s and Retcam photography and angiography. Performs venipuncture in correlation with angiography. Operates and maintains a full range of complex ophthalmic and standard photographic instruments. Documents procedures in EPIC and verifies image publication to PACS. Travels to satellite clinics to perform ophthalmic imaging procedures.
Teaches residents in the areas of ophthalmic photography. Trains staff and faculty members on new developments and techniques in ophthalmic imaging.
Travels to satellite clinic to perform ophthalmic photographic procedures.
Keeps abreast of current ophthalmic photography techniques, processes and equipment to ensure program is current and state of the art.
Assists Ophthalmology faculty, residents and fellows in collecting images for research and presentations.
