Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a highly qualified candidate to support the Beyond Line Of Sight SME requirement. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced candidate to work with USSF D8 to ensure the Army policies, procedures, and processes for MUOS are in line with overarching guidelines. Provides procedural and operational guidance to the MUOS Contractor Team Lead and helps to ensure documentation reflects current operational standards. Serves as the manager of the Army’s subnet of public IPs to ensure IP space is not wasted. Conducts MUOS Workshops, supports Commo Sergeant Courses, and provides technical troubleshooting for MUOS issues experienced by the customer. The candidate will work out of the Augusta Sev1Tech facility.

 

Primary Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To  

  • Furnishes expertise in design interface to include integration of the quantitative design characteristics of systems engineering (reliability, maintainability, etc.) with the functional logistics/integrated product support elements.
  • Furnishes Sustaining Engineering to include those technical tasks (engineering and logistics investigations and analyses) to ensure continued operation and maintenance of a system with managed (i.e., known) risk. This includes collection and triage of maintenance data, analysis of reliability and maintainability, root cause of analysis of in-services problems, management of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Technology Insertion, and Technology Refresh.
  • Furnishes expertise in authoring and developing logistics acquisition and maintenance documentation to include Business Cases Analysis/Analysis of Product Support Alternatives. Leads or participates in key logistics activities to include technical manual, provisioning, maintenance engineering verification and Log Demo events.
  • Furnishes expertise in conducting requirements and feasibility analysis, cost versus performance trade-off analysis, regulatory compliance support, technical data reviews, reliability and maintainability analysis, operation and maintenance analysis, technology transfer/insertion analysis, training analysis, assessing adequacy of supplier partnerships, and supply network solutions. 
  • Ensure that equipment and products are supportable in their operational environments. Furnishes expertise in integrating, collaborating, and synchronizing the development of Technical Data Packages, drawings, technical manuals.
  • Leads or participates in key logistics activities to include technical manual, provisioning, maintenance engineering verification and Log Demo events


Responsibilities

The position requires an active Secret clearance. 

  • Bachelors Degree in Enigineers or related scientific/technical discipline; (4 additional years of experience can be subsituted for degree)
  • 10 years of technical experience as a Signal Support Systems Specialist 
  • 5 years’ experience in C4I Technical SME and Field Engineering Services 
  • 8 years’ experience with Link 16, COMSEC articles and systems, Command and Control Processors, Common Data Link Management Systems, and Data Link Test Tools
  • 8 -years experience in MIDS Products and Tactical Data Links at PMA/PMW-101 and L3Harris/ViaSat

Qualifications



  • In-depth knowledge of army communication protocols, encryption standards, and radio frequency management. 
  • Provide training and field support in the areas of Link-16 applications, engineering, integration, installation, testing, upgrades and analysis of the MIDS LVT, MIDS Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), and Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP) 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences. 
  • Must be able to travel within the region and occasionally internationally up to 50% of the year, as required.
