Responsibilities

In our 17-bed unit, you’ll care for diverse patients in adult cardiology and medical-surgical specialties, including CHF, ACS, telemetry monitoring, and chronic conditions. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a 3:1 ratio, high patient turnover, and a goal of maintaining a length of stay under 8 hours, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily nursing operations and support your team on the floor.
  • Handle staffing, scheduling, workflow planning, and basic budget decisions.
  • Jump in with direct patient care when needed.
  • Oversee patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Help onboard and support new team members.
  • Promote a positive, respectful team environment with good communication.
  • Make sure patient care meets safety standards and reflects best practices.
  • Support patient education and include families in the care process.
  • Collaborate with other units and nursing leaders to coordinate care.
  • Offer feedback, coaching, and recognition to staff.
  • Use electronic health records and systems confidently.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BSN or MSN/MN required.
  • Current RN license (must be valid in applicable state).
  • At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience at a proficient level or higher.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing teams and making decisions on the go.
  • Familiar with basic budget planning and operations.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Computer-savvy, especially with healthcare systems.
  • Committed to professional development and upholding organizational values.
