Based in Redmond, WA, Triumph Actuation Products and Services, located approximately 15 miles outside of Seattle, maintains a unique capability for systems engineering and integration, as well as hydromechanical and electronics in-house development. Triumph Actuation Product and Services Seattle serves as the integration focal for TRIUMPH, specializing in motion, control, and power systems for commercial, military and rotorcraft aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Address rejected purchased materials.  Determine conformance to drawings, specifications and other contractual requirements imposed on suppliers.  Determine and impose Supplier Quality Requirements/Supplemental Purchase Order Conditions where required.
  • Verify conformance of stock and Work In Process for purchased parts and materials associated with rejects.
  • Assist suppliers in investigating root cause and implementing corrective actions for nonconforming parts and materials.  Partner with Supply Chain Management personnel in supporting supplier’s performance improvement activities.
  • Generate electronic Supplier Corrective Action Requests (eSCARs) via the Triumph web portal.  Present eSCARs to suppliers; track progress toward completion and report.
  • Complete monthly Supplier Quality Uploads and Monthly Corporate Reports.
  • Process Return To Vendor (RTV) activities and lead the Supplier Charge Back process.
  • Manage the Approved Supplier List and the Preferred Supplier Program (P3) including approvals and disqualifications.
  • Track supplier performance on the web portal using the Supplier Performance Improvement Program (SPIP) system.
  • Track and maintain third party supplier certification to Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100 and Nadcap.  Audit suppliers without third party certification, using AS9003 compliance audits.
  • Review First Article Inspection data provided by suppliers and compare to check inspections completed in house.  Track and report on supplier FAI performance and manage the FAI Qualified Suppliers List per Quality Control Procedures.
  • Assure the timely processing of nonconforming materials and assist in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations as a member of the Material Review Board. 
  • Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the conformance of products parts and materials.
  • Qualify for certification and perform over inspection of finished product as a customer authorized DSQR as required.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology required.
  •  Bachelor of Science (four year) degree in an Engineering or Technical major is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through three or more years of related experience. 
  • American Society for Quality certification in Quality Engineering desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Practical knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts and general business operations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of, and compliance to AS9100. 
  • Practical knowledge of Quality Assurance analysis tools (Six Sigma, FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, 8D, Apollo, Fishbone). 
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to field.
