Financial Analyst - Military veterans preferred

 Your role as a Financial Analyst:

Were on the hunt for a Financial Analyst who loves digging into the numbers and collaborating across teams to make smart, impactful decisions. This role is all about turning financial data into actionable insightsforecasting with precision, supporting month-end close, keeping an eye on spend, and helping our teams stay aligned with budgets and goals. Youll partner with teams across the business (especially our GTM folks), maintain rolling forecasts, analyze variance, and build models that keep us sharp and ahead of the game. 

A Day in the Life of a Financial Analyst: 

• Forecast Management:
• Collaborate with business partners to understand key business decisions and translate their financial implications into accurate forecast and budget updates.
• Utilize our planning system (Adaptive Insights preferred) to maintain a rolling full-year (FY) forecast and a 12-month forward-looking forecast.
• Monthly Close and Reporting Support:
• Assist with the monthly financial close process, ensuring alignment between business performance and financial records.
• Partner with the Accounting team during the close to verify that the business is tracking in line with its financial forecast and budget.
• Spend Analysis:
• Work closely with Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to analyze event and Travel & Entertainment (T&E) spending, ensuring adherence to budget.
• Variance Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze monthly financial results, identifying and clearly articulating key variances to the forecast and budget for leadership review.
• Develop and maintain monthly reporting presentations and supporting documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Data Coordination:
• Coordinate and fulfill data requests from internal business partners, including providing budget and forecast figures and explaining significant performance variances.
• Financial Modeling:
• Assist with key Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) modeling projects as needed, contributing to the development of insightful financial tools.

What Youll Need: 

• 3+ years of experience in a financial analysis role 
• Base-level understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Demonstrated strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining financial models.
• Required experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with Adaptive Insights is preferred but not required.
• Highly collaborative with a strong customer-focused mindset, demonstrating the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Curious and proactive with a strong willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present  financial information clearly and concisely.
