JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of application software supporting mission-critical business applications within Facilities Experience Products Delivery Team. Acquire and interpret business requirements, create functional specifications, and determine the most efficient and appropriate technologies based on client requirements. Recommend both technical and process improvements and solutions to architect and management team for review. Responsible for implementing, or overseeing implementation of, approved architecture design. Maintain a broad knowledge of modern technology, equipment, systems, and frameworks. Plan and organize tasks, report on project progress, and coordinate with additional development teams. Perform complex programming assignments requiring an advanced aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices. Design application and database components for development projects. Schedule and lead brainstorming activities surrounding development functionality. Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build browser-based web solutions utilizing multiple technologies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, which have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business. Maintain and modify web applications; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes. Provide support for critical web application problems and issues. Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems as required. Willingness and ability to train and teach other developers. Help foster development of teams cross-functional and collaborative capabilities. Conduct research into modern technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks. Train and knowledge share with development teams. Assist in the training and knowledge sharing with development teams and help to coach junior level developers and/or Professional Apprentices as needed. Project/task management and reporting, as necessary. Presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested. This position requires 5% domestic and 5% international travel. Role is hybrid allowing periodic work from home within reasonable commuting distance of the Cleveland, OH office. Multiple openings available.


RESPONSIBILITIES


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Full Stack Java Developer, Java Developer or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

  • Five (5) years of IT experience;
  • Five (5) years working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle;
  • Four (4) years of experience working with CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript;
  • Four (4) years of experience in Java, J2EE, JDBC or Hibernate;
  • Three (3) years using Spring Boot and Spring Rest services;
  • Three (3) years of React JS;
  • Three (3) years with a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) such as Oracle, DB2, Postgres, Azure SQL, NoSQL(Cosmos DB or Mongo DB);
  • Full stack web application development;
  • JavaScript App development using contemporary React and Redux approaches and tools, includes Hooks, Function Components, and React Router;
  • Full command of the modern JavaScript language, includes ES6 language additions such as: array, map, and set methods; module architecture; arrow functions; object and array destructuring; function parameter methods; and promises;
  • Azure Cloud platform management;
  • Command line git and of GitHub;
  • Configuring application servers such as JBoss and Tomcat;
  • Unix/Linux OS and shell scripting;
  • CI/CD, DevOps, Cloud, and automation;
  • Docker/Kubernetes;
  • Unit tests/automated testing; and
  • Creating automated build scripts (Ant/Gradle).
