JOB DESCRIPTION

Implement APM (application performance monitoring) best practices which includes implementing monitoring solutions like Dynatrace to provide end-to-end monitoring of applications, helping teams with setting up effective monitors, alerts to help alert and diagnose application issues that could potentially affect the business. Work closely and maintain strong working relationships with the Business Owners, Operations team and Software Development teams to obtain monitoring and alerting specifications and provide diagnostic information on issues and challenges. Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the group and other business/technical entities. Partner with application development, application support, and other IT infrastructure resources to define measurement frameworks, develop KPI's and performance dashboards. Support data capture and advanced data manipulation efforts to support proactive identification of issues. Provide input and insight on software design, architecture and build process. Remote work acceptable. This position requires 10% domestic travel. Multiple openings available.


RESPONSIBILITIES


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

  • Five (5) years of IT experience;
  • Five (5) years of performance testing process and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner and working with various protocols like Web (HTTP/HTML), Oracle NCA, Citrix;
  • Four (4) years in Application Performance Management tools; and LoadRunner, Apache JMeter, Blaze meter;
  • Four (4) years in Monitoring tools like Dynatrace;
  • Four (4) years in GitHub, Jenkins, Grafana, InfluxDB;
  • Java, JavaScript, C programming language.
