Position: Class 1 Driver

Are you ready to hit the open road with one of the world's most recognised and award-winning supply chain leaders? DHL is searching for passionate Class 1 Drivers to become an essential part of our dynamic Tradeteam distribution service!

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Multi drop delivery of products to customers premises, delivering bulk loads, picked directly from vehicle for delivery to customer (covering: Reading, Luton and London areas)
• 2 person driving team - 2nd driver/drivers mate will be allocated
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Count and check all products, compare to manifest and complete a visual check for any anomalies and damages
• Working in a physically demanding environment in a safe manner
• May include weekend work - Overtime rate will be payable for weekend work

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience but don't hesitate to apply if you don't tick every box on this page - we're great at spotting talent and potential in everyone:

• Minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience is essential
• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E)
• Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• No (zero) points on your licence
• Able to comply with the physically demanding environment (hand balling)
• Able to handle alcohol (delivering kegs, spirits and confectionary)
• Familiar with vehicle safety checks
• Happy with working hours (early start times) and multi-drops
