The Quality Control Manager is responsible for all aspects of the ISO compliance and the establishment of internal processes/controls and environmental programs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Devising and establishing a company's quality policy, procedures, standards, and specifications to meet contract requirements
  • Reviewing client’s and contract requirements and making sure they are met
  • Reviewing and authorizing nonconformance report responses
  • Participating in, Reviewing and Authorizing incident reports (Quality, Health and Safety)
  • Reviewing and proposing training plans to meet contract requirements
  • Putting in place and participating in quality and safety audit programs during and after contract activities
  • Working with purchasing staff to ensure quality requirements are met in accordance with client’s requests
  • Setting and implementing standards for quality as well as health and safety
  • Reviewing and reporting weekly compliance of planned maintenance schedule
  • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
  • Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them
  • Using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience performing quality control in a similar environment.
  • 3 years’ experience in administrative, professional, analytical or other work related to International Organization for Standard (ISO) 9001 Program or operations and similar experience in managing environmental programs.

 

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training desired

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Must possess knowledge to maintain a quality management and environmental system in accordance with the applicable industry and ISO Standards as applicable.
  • Must have broad knowledge of logistical functions and applicable environmental policies, programs and laws.
  • Must have ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise or promote improvements in logistical programs.
  • Must have the ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
  • Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
