POSITION SUMMARY

MELE Associates is looking for a Technical Program Advisor to assist the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Counterterrorism with Program Management Support. The position's focus is to provide programmatic and administrative support and reports to senior federal leadership. The Program Analyst also serves as an on-call member of an emergency response team to support emergency operations in the DOE Headquarters building (Forrestal), or in support of deployed field assets at remote locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Monitor program execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify program risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to project teams.
  • Advise management on technical feasibility and strategic alignment of projects
  • Organize technical meetings to include consulting technical staff from national laboratories on nuclear threat issues
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on program status.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program management processes and methodologies.
  • Implement best practices and standards for project execution.
  • Contribute to the development of program management tools and templates.
  • Prepare program status reports for stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Track and report on key program metrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience managing programs or related field.
  • Documented operational experience leading teams in hazardous environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex technical projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Explosive Ordnance Disposal school
  • Master's degree in a related field.

LOCATION: This is an onsite position in Washington, DC.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
