Overview

IQT’s International Team (IQTI) is seeking an Investment Analyst in Singapore to support IQTI in activities related to sourcing high-quality investment opportunities and assisting portfolio management across IQTI’s Southeast Asian investments. The ideal candidate will bring unmatched enthusiasm for: (i) contributing to IQT’s mission; (ii) working with technology focused startups; and (iii) demonstrating world-class rigor in analysis and a bias towards output.



Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing

  • Identify and initiate contact with companies and investors in the emerging tech ecosystem to support IQT’s investment focus areas
  • Attend meetings and calls with candidate companies to produce written assessments of technological and business merits and challenges
  • Perform competitive and market analyses as to investment opportunities
  • Identify emergent regional and global technology themes by tracking publications, attending conferences, and reaching out to companies
  • Build class-leading expertise in assigned technology areas through a rigorous effort of research and outreach to academics, entrepreneurs, and investors
  • Maintain the standards and reputation of the IQT brand within the venture community as a high-quality venture capital investor and strategic partner

Deal Support

  • Support research related to deal investment theses including the production of documents that describe technologies, markets, business models, and investment risks
  • Interface with pipeline companies and IQT US to facilitate due diligence requests

Operations and Portfolio Company Strategy & Support

  • Manage, maintain, and analyze portfolio and pipeline data within a CRM tool
  • Prepare custom reports in support of IQTI presentations and regional technology perspectives


Qualifications



  • Due to contractual reasons, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must reside in Singapore currently. 
  • Raw enthusiasm for the IQT mission
  • Prior professional experience in business analysis or strategy-focused roles
  • Ability to write and express findings in a comprehensive, yet succinct manner
  • Passion for working with early-stage technology companies
  • Superior critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to work in semi-structured environment
