Position Summary:
The Department of Leadership & Special Education at Arkansas State University (A-State) is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track Instructor position in the Master of Science in Higher Education program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The teaching load of the faculty is normally fifteen hours per semester.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge: Understanding student development theory and implementation in student affairs, understanding of student affairs and university organizational structures, understanding of various student affairs offices and their implementation of high-quality services, understanding of various university political environments, knowledge of cutting-edge innovation in student services, knowledge of university policies and procedures with the ability to share in an online teaching environment, maximizing the student experience
Skills: computer skills necessary to function remotely in an online, structured teaching environment utilizing Canvas teaching software, skilled at conducting research and organizing findings, skilled at retrieving data supporting program goals and outcomes
Abilities: must be disciplined to work in a remote environment, ability to deploy experiential skills, and translate them to students' academic course instruction, ability to develop syllabus and course instructional materials that correlate with program goals and outcomes
General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications: An earned Doctorate Degree is required.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Student Affairs Administration or Higher Education Administration and teaching experience at the Graduate Level in Higher Education
