Description Overview

We are currently looking for a Micro Lab Clerk to join our quality team on first shift.

Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 4:30pm

(Requiring shift, weekend, and holiday work when applicable)

Scope of the Role

  • Cleaning, hand rinsing, machine washing/drying, and proper storage of all glassware used in three QC laboratories.
  • Daily sampling of plant water samples.
  • Assist in preparation of microbiological media, including use of autoclaves.
  • Disposing of expired QC samples into 25lb. waste powder bags and delivering to the warehouse.
  • Disposing of waste powder and trash generated by the compositing lab.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the dishwashing room, microbiological sample retain room, and media preparation area, including daily sanitation of floors and work surfaces.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to adhere to written procedures is required.
  • Must work safely and use PPE, such as safety glasses, face shield, and gloves, for specified tasks.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 25lb bags is required.
  • Work experience in a laboratory setting preferred, including use of analytical balances, pH meters, and autoclaves.
  • Good organizational skills, documentation skills, basic math skills, and the ability to multi-task
