Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Project Manager/ Environmental Manager at Crane Naval Base in Crane Indiana.

Summary:
Reports to the Director of Safety and Quality Assurance, the Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality at Crane Naval Base where people who have different abilities work with integrated teams and receive work support and development as needed to achieving the highest level of independence possible. Responsible for leading and overseeing the quality management system (QMS) and the company safety program in accordance with the PWS for custodial services at NSA Crane, and the Glendora Test Facility.
Typical Duties:
- Ensures compliance with federal regulations, NAVFAC policies and industry best practices while driving continuous improvement in service delivery and safety performance. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management Plan (QMP) that meets the contract requirements.
- Conduct inspections and surveillance of services; document results and corrective/preventive actions. Submit monthly Quality Inspection and Surveillance Reports summarizing compliance status and performance. Coordinate and participate in the Performance Evaluation Meetings with government personnel as well as the Management Review Board Meetings within the company.
- Oversee daily safety inspections and hazard monitoring to ensure site safety and compliance. Lead root cause analysis and reporting of all recordable incidents, near misses, and OSHA compliance. Manage and maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with contract deliverables.
- Ensure proper training, certification, and qualifications of all safety personnel and field workers. Submit timely reports using NAVFAC's ESAMS or equivalent system for safety incident reporting.
- Develop, implement and enforce the Accident Prevention Plan (APP), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) and all required compliance programs per EM 385-1-1.
- Develop professional working relationships with current and potential contracting representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and site occupants. Develop and establish communication methods, using routine and periodic meetings, proactive preparation and reporting, and prompt investigation and resolution of customer complaints. Investigate any customer complaints and issue Non-Conformance Reports; track responses, review trend analysis and recommend changes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the contract statement of work to be performed at the assigned site as well as the materials and equipment used to meet contract requirements. Manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified Quality Assurance standards, Quality Manual- current revision, company procedures, client specifications and contract requirements. Assist in production of generic and project specific risk assessments.
- Encourage effective outcomes, and accountability. Observe crew members work performance; report observations to Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager. Communicate expectations, evaluate the team for continual improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies and procedures. Mentor and develop the team through training and problem resolution. Build an effective Company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D required. Preferred 2 years of college. .
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality and/or Safety (or a combination). Proficient in creating and enforcing QMS and APP compliant with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations or equivalent level of responsibility. Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards or other quality systems (preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and familiar with digital reporting tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification in construction (or able to obtain in 90 days) required. Formal quality training or certifications such as CQA, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 auditor (preferred). Current CPR/FA certification (or able to achieve in 1st year).
- Background Checks: Pass federal and state background checks. Pass child abuse and neglect background checks. Pass driving background check
- Driving :Must be at least 21 years or older with a valid drivers license. Company Travel with personally insured vehicle is required
