Summary
The Ground Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating ground operations activities to ensure the smooth and timely departure and arrival of aircraft. This role involves supervising ground handling personnel, implementing safety procedures and promoting a positive safety culture, and maintaining efficient communication with various stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Years of Experience: Minimum one (1) year of airline operations experience.
Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: Yes
•Must be able to obtain and retain Ground Security Coordinator qualification.
•Ability to read and write English.
•Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s licenses.
•Able to attend and pass required and recurrent training.
•Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Preferred Requirements
•Strong computer skills and high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
•Extensive problem-solving skills.
Job Duties
•Operational Oversight:
•Responsible for monitoring the daily operation to ensure proper staffing and resources are available to the front line agents.
•Ensure and maintain safety compliance of aircraft, facility and employee working environments.
•Work closely with manager to ensure complete and timely fulfillment of all operational responsibilities.
•Participate in investigations regarding ramp incidents and accidents, analyzing root causes and recommending preventive measures.
•Implement quality control measures to ensure that all ground operations meet or exceed air carrier and airport standards.
•Provide oversight and supervision during irregular operations.
•Performance/Planning:
•Ensure all Team Members are consistently informed of performance metrics in all areas using available company data.
•Analyze and evaluate work methods for areas of operation and related areas, to make recommendations or changes to improve the station operation.
•Coordinate work schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
•Ensure station is equipped with all tools and resources to support a safe and efficient operation.
•Leadership and Development:
•Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's performance meets safety and operational standards.
•Mediate and resolve conflicts among Team Members or with other departments.
•Communication:
•Conduct pre-shift briefings with Team Members to communicate important information, such as schedule changes, safety updates, and specific operational requirements for the day.
•Provide clear instructions and expectations to ensure all Team Members are on the same page.
•Team Member Performance and Retention:
•Oversee time and attendance for hourly Team Members.
•Provide feedback and evaluations of Team Members with emphasis on promoting results and performance excellence.
•Administer corrective action as required.
•Promote teamwork within the work group. Recognize and celebrate Team Member achievements.
•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Airport Agent - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e. hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.). Are required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. and to push and/or pull up to 300 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
