Overview

IDC is seeking a highly experienced Product Marketing Director to support the redefinition of Product Marketing within IDC. Strong candidates will have a strong Product Marketing foundation, including deep knowledge of key accountabilities and frameworks, and work cross-functionally to reinvent the function in terms of speed and effectiveness across persona definitions, positioning and messaging, narrative development, sales content, and packaged solutions. A core aspect of this role is enabling and upskilling fellow product marketers in the practical integration of AI into their daily workflows and accountabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Redefine how standard product marketing models and frameworks are completed using AI, including personas and use cases, product positioning and messaging, narrative development and storytelling, sales content creation and enablement, packaged solutions and go-to-market approaches.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant, guiding product marketing peers on the adoption and application of these frameworks.
  • Lead the education and enablement of the product marketing team on AI-powered tools and methodologies, including acting as a champion for AI adoption, fostering a culture of experimentation and learning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales, and customer success to ensure frameworks are aligned with business objectives and market needs.
  • Continuously monitor, measure, and refine the effectiveness of adopted models and AI-driven processes, iterating based on feedback and performance data.

 



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the technology or data industries.
  • Strong knowledge of AI applicability in marketing, including hands-on experience with AI tools for content, analytics, or workflow automation.
  • Strong positioning, messaging, and narrative development skills.
  • Experience with pricing strategy, market research, and customer validation techniques.
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful products or services.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and business units
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
