Shipping / Receiving I - SIMI VALLEY CA.
Full-Time

The Shipping / Receiving I located in Simi Valley, CA reports to our Plant Supervisor and is responsible for confirming proper delivery of purchased and manufactured parts. Perform receiving procedures for delivered materials via established systems. Determine and perform proper disbursement of materials to stock location, storage or individual. Maintain inventory control system. Prepare, route and post shipments between warehouse and production facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confirm and verify delivered materials against open orders to ensure correctness and delivery to the proper location.
  • Perform receiving procedures for all factory production materials and other requisitioned materials, processes related paperwork and labeling.
  • Determine proper destination for materials and disburses materials to destination in an expedient manner.
  • Perform inventory maintenance duties such as computerized and/or manual stock transactions, order filling and staging, order receipts and close-out, cycle counts, tool tracking log, shipments log, and related record keeping.
  • Utilize, packaging hand tools, hand truck, forklift, and ladders in handling and manipulating inventory and other materials.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, such as kiting, packing, skidding, and labeling.
  • Perform shipping procedures for all factory production and other materials, processes related paperwork.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and shipping & receiving areas.
  • Perform work in a safe, accurate, and expeditious manner consistent with the Plant Manager's expectations.

Requirements:

Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:

  • Must be able to organize work and keep track of work in-process.
  • Must be accurate and be able to exercise reasonably good judgment with regards to work assignments.
  • Must be able to physically perform lifting, moving, hauling and related duties.
  • Must be able to quickly learn the use of and comprehend work related systems, procedures, and tools. Previous experience helpful but not necessary.
