POSITION SUMMARY

Aleut Federal is seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise training initiatives that directly support employee growth, development, and operational excellence. The Training & Development Manager is a vital member of the People team and is responsible for identifying training needs and implementing training programs across the Aleut Federal enterprise. The Training & Development Manager will ensure that learning programs are compliant and strategically aligned with employee growth and business requirements to further excellence across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Designs and Delivers Targeted Training Solutions: Develops and maintains training paths, curricula, and individual courses tailored to the specific needs of Aleut Federal’s support organizations (e.g., Finance, Legal, Compliance) and operational service groups (Mission & Technology, Construction, Environmental). Course design includes instructional scripting, flow design, and final production using tools like Camtasia, Audiate, SnagIt, or other industry-standard platforms commonly used in eLearning and corporate training development.
  • Manages the Learning Management System (LMS): Oversees the entire administration of UKG Pro Learning, including content deployment, user assignments, roster synchronization, permission management, and technical troubleshooting to support enterprise learning continuity.
  • Partners with Internal Stakeholders: Assesses training needs, identifies gaps or deficiencies, and evaluates current training efficacy. Develops training plans appropriate for particular groups of employees, e.g., people managers, first-time supervisors, field personnel, etc.
  • Integrates Training with Career Development: Partners with HRBPs and department leaders to define role-specific competencies, ensuring learning programs align with Aleut Federal’s career progression models and support talent development and leadership readiness.
  • Maintains Training Communication Channels: Manages the Training & Development SharePoint portal to promote new training initiatives, highlight training achievements, and provide transparent updates on development opportunities across the company.
  • Measures and Improves Training Effectiveness: Gathers and analyzes learner participation data, feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate content effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and align training outcomes with organizational priorities.
  • Oversees Compliance Training Programs: Aligns Aleut Federal training programs to be compliant with contractual obligations and government contracting requirements. Develops and administers annual compliance training across the organization, including course creation, assignment tracking, deadline monitoring, and leadership engagement to ensure full participation and regulatory alignment.
  • Manages External Training Partnerships: Maintains relationships with third-party training providers to enhance internal offerings, ensure content relevance, and align external resources with Aleut Federal’s development goals and standards.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years of experience in training, talent development, or HR.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to lead enterprise training and development strategies, manage cross-functional initiatives, and influence outcomes at the organizational level.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and managing training and development programs within a compliance-based government contracting space.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in learning technologies and tools, including learning management systems (LMS) and content development platforms (e.g., UKG Pro Learning, Articulate, Camtasia), or similar tools commonly used in corporate training environments.”
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with a demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and training effectiveness metrics.
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and change leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead through influence and drive adoption of learning solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of frameworks such as CMMI and ISO 9001, with the ability to design training that reinforces process discipline, documentation standards, and practices that support ongoing audit readiness and organizational compliance.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a Hybrid position where the work can be performed remotely, with three days a week in an Aleut Federal office.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.

Salary Range- $110K-$130K
