POSITION SUMMARY

The Task Lead (TL) provides leadership and oversight for Aleut’s instructional support team under the Delta 8 Training Support Services contract at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado. As the Government's primary point of contact, the TL is responsible for supervising Aleut personnel, ensuring alignment with contract objectives, validating employee readiness, and delivering exceptional instruction in support of 8th Training Squadron (8 TS) operations. The TL must demonstrate deep experience in military training environments—particularly U.S. Space Force operations—and exhibit strong coordination skills across government and contractor teams.

This position combines leadership responsibilities with subject matter expertise, as the TL will also serve as a certified instructor, supporting the design, development, and delivery of instruction in military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) and space operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Aleut personnel.
  • Supervise daily activities of Aleut team members; ensure compliance with contract performance requirements.
  • Coordinate training schedules, personnel assignments, and deliverables to support Delta 8 mission execution.
  • Validate employee qualifications and deliver both initial and refresher training as needed.
  • Facilitate and document ISD-based courseware including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluation tools.
  • Support unit-level and mission-specific training for USSF space operations, including MILSATCOM command and control.
  • Brief government stakeholders and deliver polished written communications to support leadership decisions.
  • Maintain instructor certification and serve as the site lead and senior trainer for 8 TS.
  • Participate in collaborative efforts across DoD organizations and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and support efforts requiring SCI access.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military/ civilian training.
  • Completion of a recognized military instructor course.
  • Preferred Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in DoD or U.S. Government strategic mission environments
  • 3+ years of instructional development experience using the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model in space operations
  • Experience with MILSATCOM systems, including narrowband, wideband, or protected band communications
  • Familiarity with USSF command-and-control structures and organizations

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage contract performance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for briefing, instruction, and documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools
  • Vast knowledge of space-based communication systems and operational mission training environments

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use a computer and related equipment for prolonged periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is an Onsite position that requires work to be performed onsite at a government location.
  • The working conditions for this position may include the following:
  • Working indoors in an office environment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Position may require up to 10% travel to CONUS government facilities for integration, testing, or collaboration.

Salary Range- $120K-$139K
