Position Summary:

ANSER is looking for a Senior Administrative Specialist to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Programs OASD(NCB) working at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. In this role you will assist the efficient and effective execution and monitoring of all administrative functions for the ASD(NCB) office.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning, logistical coordination, administration, and execution of various OASD(NCB) meetings.
  • Support all processes and actions regarding meeting resource scheduling, physical assets, virtual participant connectivity, and meeting execution (e.g., read-ahead generation, minutes, due-out tracking, etc.).
  • Maintain OASD(NCB) Point of Contact (POC) and distribution lists.
  • Facilitate visitor access/parking requests.
  • Assist in developing tools and processes to improve administrative processes
  • Assist in the oversight of its Continuity of Operations/Continuity of Government (COOP/COG) responsibilities
  • Assist in the on-going refinement and management/maintenance of the OASD(NCB) electronic library and filing system
  • Assist in monitoring staff actions including correspondence, internal taskings, and read ahead materials among others
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining electronic platforms and applications including SharePoint, the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) and the Joint Staff Action Package System (JSAP) among others
  • Assist in monitoring congressional issues that influence OASD(NCB)
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Current TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Prior experience planning, coordinating, administering, and executing O-6/GS-15 level meetings.
  • Prior experience engaging SES/GO/FO level personnel.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience working within a component of the OASD(NCB).
  • Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) staff or Executive Assistant experience
