Health and Safety Manager - Military veterans preferred

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide expert advice and support to ensure our site complies with health, safety, and environmental legislation. Your leadership will drive standardization and foster a culture of safety, enabling us to achieve our annual objectives while safeguarding our employees and operations.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• provide Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) advice, guidance, and support to enable the site to comply with relevant statutory legislation.
• Drive business standardization and assist with the continued adherence to the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) and any other relevant HSE & BCM policies at the site.
• Meet annual Safety, Health, and Environmental objectives, which will be assessed via the performance management system.
• Assist the management team in understanding their Health and Safety responsibilities.
• Ensure that accident investigations are completed in a timely manner and that actions are implemented to prevent recurrence at the site.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Stakeholder management and management influence are essential for this role.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• Previous Health and Safety responsibility in warehouse and transport environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Ability to develop and deliver improvement plans.
