CALIBRE, an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a talented Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to join our team in supporting the Army Force Management School at Fort Belvoir, VA. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative training solutions for the Department of Defense.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process to create effective training solutions.
Develop Programs of Instruction (POIs) and other key training products using the Training Development Capability (TDC).
Update and enhance Distributed Learning (DL) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Create and maintain DL products using tools such as Adobe Captivate and the Army Learning Management Systems (ALMS).
Collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders to align training efforts.
Support evaluations and accreditation visits to ensure training standards are met.
Interface with Moodle and Blackboard Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Develop comprehensive training materials for both instructor-led and web-based learning formats.
3 to 5 years of experience applying the ADDIE process within TRADOC or DoD environments.
3 to 5 years of experience as an ISD supporting DoD schools or commercial educational institutions.
2+ years of experience working with courseware development tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate, or similar.
2+ years of experience with ALMS and SCORM standards.
U.S. Citizenship and possession of an active SECRET security clearance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create detailed reports and papers.
Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems such as Moodle and Blackboard and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design and Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience with Distributed Learning portfolios in a DoD educational setting
