Position Summary: Shipping and Receiving Clerks assist full time in processing incoming and outgoing material. They are responsible for all required paperwork on the customer and vendor end as well as shipment fulfillment. The department goal is 100% Performance to Promise.Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift License preferred but not required, will train on the job

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Automotive background
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Outlook on a basic level.
  • Citrix XA, TAI Framework, and IS400 “Green Screen” Auto Release.
  • Receiving MRO and direct material, shipper Bill of Ladings and packing slips, inventory control, and cycle counts.
  • Attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload materials, in and out bound, onto common carriers (if required)
  • Operate a fork truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform inventory cycle counts (if required)
  • Transport, in approved containers, any and all materials
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
  • Operate dock levelers
  • Stack, neatly and evenly, baskets, bins, pallets, or containers in designated area
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing directly with customers whether through email or phone calls.
  • Inspect the bin one final time as a quality check to ensure the proper label and parts are identified on the bins.
  • Gather mechanical testing data from each part bin and fill out a mechanical test report.
  • Report production on finished goods and fill out the necessary paperwork for shipping and accounting.
  • Gather incoming MRO material and disposition it accordingly.
  • Enter packing slips into by scanning ability into XA or Tai Framework to show that items were received against purchase orders.
  • Maintain the stock room, reordering as needed, and run a computer-controlled inventory check.
  • Perform special assignments as required
  • General Housekeeping, sweeping, mopping, trash, and other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Works in a seasonally fast paced environment under minimum supervision.
  • Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment.
  • Must work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • The job works in conditions with constant exposure (67% or more) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc. Occasional overnight travel is required.
  • Walking
  • Repetitive lifting of objects over 5 lbs.
  • Repetitive manual movements
  • Carrying pushing or pulling objects over 5 lbs.
  • Crouching, climbing
  • Sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors, screens or numbers, legal documents
