The Challenge

The Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA) delivers actionable intelligence to policymakers, force development leadership, and warfighters to enable mission success. What if you could use your Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) expertise to support these efforts?

As a Mid-Level OSINT Analyst with JCTM, you will support intelligence operations by conducting analytic production using publicly available information. You will interpret foreign and domestic sources to provide insights that contribute to national defense priorities, utilizing your analytical acumen and linguistic expertise in Mandarin to uncover actionable intelligence.

Challenging Projects

You will be part of a mission-driven team providing direct analytic support to the U.S. Marine Corps, Joint Force, and broader Intelligence Community. Your work will involve identifying foreign threat patterns, contextualizing open source data, and synthesizing diverse information streams to deliver intelligence that matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct all-source analytic production using open-source materials derived from public, private, U.S., and foreign government sources.
  • Analyze foreign publicly available information in Mandarin to identify patterns, relationships, and implications.
  • Translate and assess high-value Mandarin content, aligning analysis with intelligence requirements.
  • Apply rigorous analytic tradecraft standards to ensure data integrity, objectivity, and clarity.
  • Collaborate with other analysts and organizations within the IC to support fusion and integration of open source data.
  • Produce finished intelligence products and briefings for tactical, operational, and strategic audiences.

You Have

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or additional experience in lieu of degree)
  • 8+ years of experience in OSINT or intelligence analysis
  • Joint-accredited OSINT course certification (e.g., EOSINT, OS301/302, DIA BOTC, CASO, or SANS SEC 497/587)
  • DLPT score of 3/3 in Mandarin Chinese
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to evaluate and synthesize multiple information sources logically
  • Skill in interpreting analysis, understanding its implications, and defending judgments
  • Ability to work semi-independently with oversight

  • Ability to collaborate across agencies and work with minimal supervision
  • Experience structuring analysis from diverse sources and trends
  • Capability to produce concise, insightful intelligence reports
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
