The Department of Medicine, Division of Classical Hematology, is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Medicine in the non-tenured track. The faculty will conduct 10 weeks of inpatient service and 2 clinic sessions per week for the Division of Classical Hematology and 10 weeks of inpatient service and 2 clinic sessions per week for the Oncology/Hematology Associates clinic located at Hillman Cancer Center. They will serve as the Division's lead educational faculty member responsible to provide and coordinate hematological education to medical students and residents. They will also serve as an educational liaison between SOM and the Classical Hematology Fellowship program.
An Assistant Professor should have demonstrated teaching ability, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind that would enable them to make an academic contribution. The Assistant Professor should possess a doctoral or appropriate professional degree.
The candidate should have demonstrated teaching experience, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind which would enable him or her to make a comparable academic contribution. He or she should exhibit promise of originality and excellence in some field connected with teaching, writing, or research, and should have demonstrated ability in guiding and counseling students.
