Position Summary: Responsible for producing tube assemblies as received from the Tube Production Supervisor. Responsible for product handling from receiving through shipping.
Primary Duties:
- Follow daily work schedules and priorities for producing tube assemblies as received from the Tube Production Supervisor.
- Ensure all tube orders are completed and shipped in time to comply with customer’s required dates.
- Inspect new tube material that will be used for a production order for correct size, wall thickness and material type.
- Inspect tubes after cutting and deburring has been completed to ensure the correct length has been achieved and tube ends have been properly cleaned and deburred.
- Inspect the first tubes of a production run at the Post Bend QA bench to ensure they meet the dimensional requirements as called out by the drawing and/or bend chart.
- Inspect 100% of all tubes made for each production order to ensure they ALL meet the required specifications before advancing the production order to the next required step.
- Review production order packet for completeness; which should include, at a minimum, a Production Order, QA sheet and Bend Chart. Inform Production Supervisor of any discrepancies or missing documents.
- Ensure that all tube assemblies have computer-generated shippers, quality assurance sheets, and are bagged and tagged before shipping.
- Continually improve performance by receiving training and experience in all areas of tube production.
- Maintain proper stock levels on all tubes, nuts and sleeves. Communicate needs with Purchasing Manager as required.
- Receive and inspect all tubing purchased and delivered.

Basic Requirements:
- Must be over the age of 18 to apply.
- Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
- Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic computer skills, with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
- Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed.

Salary:
$19 - $22/hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
