Research Assistant Professor (Full-Time, Non-Tenure)
MR Physicist
The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Radiology, is recruiting for a MR Physicist to assist with research and clinical imaging protocols. This will be a full-time Research Assistant Professor appointment supporting the department's MR Research Center and Children's Hospital. The MR physicist will work with the clinical faculty and researchers on implementing, evaluating, and developing novel MRI acquisition and analysis techniques for human MRI scanners with an emphasis on functional brain imaging. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Job responsibilities include:
• Support advanced MRI modalities such as multi-band BOLD fMRI, and multi-echo BOLD fMRI.
• Oversee data quality assurance/quality control (daily/weekly) of existing MR equipment to maintain the integrity of experimental data.
• Provide scientific and technical assistance to researchers and faculty.
• Assist researchers and faculty in implementing published pulse sequences and developing novel pulse sequences to advance the state of the art in MRI.
