Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Research Manager.

This position will provide supervision of all clinical research nurses and clinical research coordinators in determining and planning work schedules; help in conjunction with the Clinical Research Director in assigning specific protocols to CRNs and CRCs; evaluate yearly performance in conjunction with the Clinical Research Director, and promoting organizational values. Prepares and submits protocols and supporting documents to FRC (Feasibility Research Committee), Disease Research CCARTs and IRB.

The Nurse Clinical Research Manager works independently providing study coordination including screening of potential patients for protocol eligibility, presenting medical trial concepts and details, and participating in the informed consent process. In conjunction with the Clinical Trial Management Director, helps with oversight of all studies within the group and the assignment of studies to clinical research personnel within the group.

Helps in the planning and coordinates strategies for increasing patient enrollment, improving efficiency, training of personnel, and identifying new research opportunities. Ensures compliance with all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board (IRB).

This position is eligible for a fully on-site work arrangement.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Comprehensive understanding of related scientific and clinical terminology. Ability to independently identify and problem-solve complex/non-routine problems. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, strong oral/written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills required. Demonstrate leadership, personnel management, task prioritization, and presentation skills. Computer and web-based application proficiency to include designing forms and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? YesPreferred Education/Experience
Master’s degree and at least 6 years of clinical or clinical research experience. Research certification (SOCRA, ACRP, etc.) preferred.
