Responsibilities

The Supervisor Supply Chain Operations 2 oversees the daily operations of the supply operations department, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and customer service for Emanuel, Randall Children and Unity facilities. This role also supervises and trains the logistics staff, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and monitors the performance and efficiency of the logistics processes.

 

This job provides support and materials for a complex hospital group, providing strong independent decisions throughout the day.  With the ability to work under pressure, in time sensitive situations, ensuring decisions are cost effective with high-quality materials. 



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or the equivalent experience required.

Experience: 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare logistics, warehousing, or distribution, preferably in a supervisory role required.
  • Strong knowledge of logistic principles, practices, systems, and familiarity with relevant software and technology required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills required. This role requires highly developed interpersonal skills with tact, diplomacy, and the ability to influence customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic environment required.
  • Attention to detail, and analytical skills required.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive problem solving, and team player required.

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Expertise in inventory management including supply and equipment acquisition, receiving, storage and distribution.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Ability to do systematic problem solving.
  • Ability to facilitate customer problem resolution. 
  • Ability to establish, conceive and describe operational systems, designs, flow charts and time schedules. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to define and measure progress along a course of action. Must possess keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
