We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Staff Project Accountant 1 towork in an administrative support role with highly skilled professionals ondiverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellentopportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a varietyof projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in our Burlington, MA or Seattle, WA office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, youwill:

  • Provides project accounting support to Project Managers.
  • Responsible for project financial documentation and monitoring.
  • Opens projects in Deltek Vantagepoint system
  • Reviews and uploads links to client contracts into Vantagepoint to ensure project invoicing complies with negotiated client contracts.
  • Transacts and reviews project invoice proposals and coordinates accurate and timely billing with the project manager
  • Addresses internal/external customer requirements related to project financials and invoicing and fosters positive relationships.
  • Issues invoice credits and resolves billing related issues.
  • Processes write-offs for project related unbilled revenue or uncollectable accounts receivable.
  • Maintains communication with assigned Project Managers regarding all aspects of accounting of projects.
  • Prepares and participates in monthly financial review with project team.
  • Ensures assigned projects reconcile on a monthly basis.
  • Closes projects in Vantagepoint upon completion of work.
  • Supports accounting period end activities and timely financial close.
  • Generates ad hoc project accounting reports, as requested.
  • Updates/maintains project financial information (budgets, rates, contracts, invoicing requirements, etc.) in Vantagepoint.
  • May be responsible for various accounting data administration and management
  • Flexibility to work west coast hours 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. ET

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills andRequirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 0 – 3+ years’ experience
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of proficiency with navigating/using accounting software
  • Strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet strict deadlines
  • A team player who can work with multiple personality types
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word

The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
